LANGTON - Norfolk County could be home to the largest medical marijuana production facility in North America in 18 months.
MariCann of Langton produces 10 kilograms of medicinal-quality marijuana a week.

When a planned expansion is complete in 2017, the comp any intends to ramp this up to 200 kilograms a week. By the time that happens, MariCann's workforce would expand from 40 to 80.

"We hope to have a shovel in the ground in three months," MariCann vice president Richard Kropman said Thursday during the annual Norfolk County Agriculture Tour. "Next year at this time, we hope to be close to production."
