Important note:

Total THC means total amount of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in mg/mL, w/w% or mg/bottle that the oil in the container could yield, taking into account the potential to convert delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA) into delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

Total CBD means total amount of cannabidiol (CBD) in in mg/mL, w/w% or mg/bottle that the oil in the container could yield, taking into account the potential to convert cannabidiolic acid (CBDA) into cannabidiol (CBD)

Maricann Oil – Equivalency Factor

The Regulations (*) requires the Licensed Producer to determine the quantity of the oil that is equivalent to one gram of dried cannabis (“the equivalency factor”). That information must appear on the label and must also be available on the licensed producer’s website.

The (weight to volume) equivalency factor for cannabis oil is expressed as quantity of the cannabis oil in millilitres that is equivalent to one gram of dried cannabis.

On our e-commerce online portal the equivalency factor information is presented in the following format:

1 g of dried cannabis = Y mL of cannabis oil,

Where, Y is quantity of the oil in millilitres that is equivalent to 1 g of the dried cannabis.

On our product label the equivalency factor information is presented in the following format:

“Y” ml of this oil is equivalent to 1 g of dried cannabis,

Where, Y is quantity of the oil in millilitres that is equivalent to 1 g of the dried cannabis.

For example on the label you will read: 10 ml of this oil is equivalent to 1 gram of dried cannabis

Important: equivalency factor and potency are specific to the batch of cannabis oil, and may vary from batch to batch even for the same Maricann Oil brand. Patients have to refer for equivalency factor of the specific cannabis oil product before they place an order and before they administer the cannabis oil.

Maricann Oil – Equivalency Factor and 30-day quantity

As of now, a patient’s Medical Document sets the quantity of dried cannabis for daily use in gram per day units only. Therefore, patients should use equivalency factor for cannabis oil to determine their allowance in terms of 30-day limit, when they order oil. The equivalency factor for each batch or lot of oil is provided on our online e-commerce portal (shop) as well as on the product label.

Example:

If the patient orders one 50 mL bottle of cannabis oil, 10 mL of which is equivalent to 1 g of dried cannabis,  that patient’s order will be equivalent to 5 g of dried cannabis (50 mL / 10 mL/g = 5 g). Therefore, after purchasing. 5 g of dried cannabis (equivalent) will be deducted from patient’s 30-day limit.

Maricann Oil – Equivalency Factor and daily dose

Patients have to consult with their health care practitioners before they use dried cannabis or cannabis oil. Generally, as of now, a patient’s Medical Document sets the quantity of dried cannabis for daily use in gram per day units only. Therefore, patients should use equivalency factor for cannabis oil to determine how many millilitres of cannabis oil is equivalent to the daily quantity of dried cannabis set out in their Medical Document. The equivalency factor for each batch or lot of cannabis oil is provided on our online e-commerce portal (shop) as well as on the product label.
